The QrTY Emergency ICE Card – is a plastic credit-card-sized card that you carry in your wallet or purse – which utilises Quick Response barcodes, it’s the ideal medium for providing critical information, having a unique QR code on it that can be scanned by medical personnel to access your contact and medical information if you are unable to communicate in the unfortunate event of an accident – especially important during the golden hour.
We will provide you a plastic emergency card with your details printed and a digital copy of the barcode to add to your mobile phone as your ICE image or background screen and 12 months of online service for an amazingly low price of £15.00 for one year or £30.00 for 3 years. You can update your details as your circumstances change without the need for new codes or cards.
You can buy duplicate spare/replacement cards at any time for £9.99 – and also 3 x plastic keyfobs for £7.99.
Emergency Services can scan your code on their smartphones with a QR Code scanner. The Information stored in the barcode will link to our servers then provide information such as your name, OPTIONAL address*, DOB, blood type, illnesses, allergies, medication, NHS number, Hostpital Number, GPs details, and who to contact etc.
Our systems are 100% secure and we WILL NEVER pass on your details to other parties. At QrTY we have the greatest of respect for our customers privacy and take pride in the service we offer, and the high standards our clients expect of us.
More about the QrTY Emergency Ice Card
The ICE Card (In Case of Emergency) aims to be a follow-on to the work started by Bob Brotchie, a clinical team leader for the East Anglian Ambulance NHS Trust.
Bob started the campaign to raise awareness of entering contact details into your mobile phone for Rescue Services to use to contact someone – In Case of Emergency, when a patient had died, suffered a major trauma or was in a state of shock and was unable to speak.
